Hello Blurt Community members,
With this post, I am going to share detailed updates on Blurt Mobile Application Development.
Context
- Initially, we built native app with Flutter
- Apple kept rejecting the App we built for many reasons.
- We started building progressive-web-app - PWA
- Still many users prefers to download the App from AppStore or Google Play Store.
- I'll be using @nalexadre's Apple developer account & try to publish the app on Apple's AppStore.
- I'll have to move everything from PWA to native code
- These things include massive changes like - blurt-chat, notifications, mute/unmute/follow/unfollow etc.
- Once these changes are done, I'll be able to compile app.
What did I do?
- I fixed all compilation issues (from PWA to native apps)
- Notifications for iOS
- Transfer History for both iOS & Android
- I have disabled blurt-chat for native apps at the moment. I'll work on it later.
- Updated App Icon.
- Updated App launcher image.
- Updated App User interface.

I am going to start doing some things around BLURT and I want to get into some Subjects that need to start being regularly discussed, very simple things that will bring BLURT up. I am posting this here just so others can start to get involved as they gain the ability to interact with BLURT, feel free to comment back or go to my Blog and comment about these Subjects on any one of my posts at any Time.
We can start by just talking about the simple Mechanisms of Graphene Blogs and then get into what BLURT had but lost and then what HIVE and STEEM have communities of that BLURT needs. So Graphene is Social Media, we have usernames that are Wallets, we can “@“ each other, and we can @ famous or popular accounts, like Twitter. So we should kind of see something, and the Spammers don’t even really do this so we shouldn’t have a Problem, and do the point being that maybe we should start sharing lists of @‘s, if you share a list of @‘s on your Blog others can use it, and generally if you just randomly @ like 100 People they won’t like your post, some might but many might read what you have to say and not like, some will see the list when they click and ignore it as soon as they see the list. Alternatively you could link a post from each person, and put together a kind of Archive or List of users and their posts, not just random but a collection of similar users, or related posts, this is more acceptable, when you put People’s work on display this way you are more likely to get a like from them. But this does not mean that the person who wanted to get 100 People’s attention should be 100% ignored, depending on what they had to say. What was that person sharing? That’s their Merit, the List of Users in the form of like a Collection has its Merit more inherently.
But we should start sending lists in Private. You can mention a few People here and there and have subjects related to those People, post for those People to interact. And there are various Projects on BLURT that need interaction from more People, we need this Website to have more kind of all Day interaction more like the Discord Group.
Also, if everyone could do things like post about the Discord Bot, make evergreen BLURT content that will show new BLURT users kind of how to Navigate around BLURT. Tell People about Projects and Groups and things. Delegation is kind of the primary Project type right now.
And BLURT had a kind of Tag Project, where the Hashtags were funded and everyone was Voting for the Tags, and this was kind of abandoned and everyone was allowed to Cash Out after like 2 Years or something, maybe 1 Year. But this doesn’t mean that someone can’t make a Popular Tag, or create Curation for any particular existing Tag. People could use @‘s and Hashtags and start getting a lot of Movement on BLURT, just based on how Graphene works, we don’t need the Curators to Vote if we can bring a bunch of People into a Hashtag, and it can go across Twitter, Facebook, all over. And we can do this with Tokens and things also. We need more People hosting Currencies here at some point.
And then there is something that the other Blogs, HIVE and STEEM talk about but BLURT doesn’t really, and it’s like Minnows, Dolphins and Whales and coming together to get things done. BLURT kind of doesn’t have any kind of Habilitation Projects specifically targeted at creating kind of more “Middle Class” BLURTers, this is kind of an important part of STEEM and HIVE, where they are constantly having to think of things for New Users, and it’s not just because they have more new Users, but because they don’t mind drawing in People with $0.00 looking to earn something, and then giving them things to do to earn. BLURT kind of lets People do this, but wants People to come in and figure things out themselves and maybe have some Money, even though many do come in and use BLURT to earn from $0.00. But we need like @‘s and Hashtags designed to draw in those who are looking for new income from this.
