My First Post on Serey: My Self-introduction

in r2cornell •  2 years ago  (edited)

I am @bring, and you may call me Old Wu, or 老吴 in Chinese. @bring, male, born on Dec. 12, 1968, Chinese nationality, is a good man and has been studying English for over 30 years. He teaches himself English, and he does not believe in fate, so he keeps working hard. Humorous and optimistic, he will become your good friend.

First, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to @bestkizito who offers me great support in signing up for a brand-new Serey account.

In July 2017, I joined Steemit and stayed there for less than three years, where I earned the first pot of gold through creating and publishing quality content. Then I moved to Hive, where I stayed only for a short time. In July 2020, I joined Blurt and have stayed there till now.

Today is an important day for me because I have become a member of the Serey community where I could meet many interesting and talented people. However, to tell the truth, I have no idea about Serey, and I would like to get to know her little by little.

What can I do? I would read carefully the white paper and FAQ of Serey, which, in my opinion, is the best way to understand Serey.

I would invite more Chinese users to join Serey, the wonderful platform, and in doing so I will spare no efforts.

Though in my fifties, I am still keeping good habits like reading books, writing posts and watching English programs and playing Chinese chess.

As to my publications produced on Serey in the coming days, they may include telling interesting stories and people around me, exploring philosophy of life, popularizing good deeds and good people while criticizing bad things and bad guys, and introducing Chinese culture to you.

As a poem of Chairman Mao goes, ten thousand years are too long, seize the day, and seize the hour.

There is also another ancient Chinese poem, describing a sense of longing:
You reside at the head of the Yangtze River, while I live at the tail of the Yangtze River.

Every day, I miss you and don't see you.

The Yangtze River water is shared by both of us.

The Yangtze River is China's longest river. It has attracted poets and scholars to chant for thousands of years. I suddenly made a connection. Isn't this platform like a river?

I'm on this side of the platform,

You're on the other side.

I can't see you but I can feel your presence.

We work together to create a bright future.

It is a true honor for me to know your real name and to see your image in a photo. I feel happy because I know the author of so many good writings in Blurt, and knowing that someone from the other side of the world learning the same language that I study is wonderful.

I had heard about Serey, but writing on various platforms, I did not want another place to write. Despite this, I do not rule out the possibility of writing there in the future.

Maybe if you leave some link to read what you wrote on Serey, I can visit that post and try to understand how it works.

Thanks for sharing, brother.

Many thanks for the kind words you've made about me. Thanks to this wonderful platform--blurt, we have the chance to meet here and know each other, exchange our ideas here. Sure, writing on various platforms could make one tired and divided, after all, one's energy is limited.

If possible, I would leave some link to read on Serey.

Thank you for your great support, and good day to you, my brother.
