Are you one of the short sleepers?

You wouldn't particularly think that people would need any sort of convincing before they can decide to sleep when they have already exhausted every energy in them, but the more you get to know people, the more you will realise that there are many folks out there who would rather fill their vein with coffee instead of going to sleep when they are obviously in need of sleep.

  • What happened to all the health tips from professionals who advise us to sleep 8 hours a day?

  • What about those that barely get up to 4 hours of sleep a day?

  • Would it be safe to say that such people do not care about their health?

Trust me, this isn't a dig at anyone. Not at those that get less sleep than supposed and surely not at the professionals who emphasizes the importance of having 8 hours of sleeping in a day.

I'm just thinking of things that could make anyone stay up for most of the night when the rest of the world is sleeping, snoring and dreaming. Haha. What could be the reason people have for staying up all night only to finally manage to squeeze-in 3 hours of sleep before sunrise. Are you not curious to know what their reason maybe?


Ohhhh... Lemme guess... You are one of them, right?

I told ya! I'm not trying to be nitpicky. It's already a fact that so many of us are guilty as charged and I may well be one of those that stay up for an extra minute and then an extra hour until I completely forget that I'm only human. Lol.

There have been countless situations in the past where I've seen so many people wide awake around 1 - 3 am, acting as if it's a normal thing. That is a typical scenario in school environments. Back then, whenever exams are around the corner, you see everyone digging through an unprintable amount of materials, handouts, textbooks and any other stuff that relates to their course of study. Some read till daybreak without a wink of sleep until the time for the exam.


Is that the best approach they (we) could have adopted in their studies? Nope!

If they started earlier to read, they would have been prepared enough to get a good night's rest before each exam.

That's for students, but in the same manner, the message is for you and I in everything we are doing. Whenever you feel exhausted, give yourself a good rest. Don't bury yourself in that working space of yours. Regardless of the deadline you are trying to meet, always remember that you are only human.

Tomorrow is another day.
