Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. I thought of having some masa for dinner last night and I stopped by at my favorite masa spot where it is always hot and fresh straight from the frying pan. Well, sit back, relax and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.
To people that don't know what masa is. Masa is a rice dish which is often shaped like a cupcake or mini cake. It is made using short grain rice known as Tuwo rice and it is popular and highly attributed to the Nothernen part of Nigeria.
The Tuwo rice that is used in making Masa is soaked for a couple of days and left to ferment to give it its unique and distinct taste. Masa is fried in a specially crafted pan that has its origin in the olden days. Well, it could be fried in the modern way using a cupcake pan or similar pan.
I enjoy my Masa with Yagi (spiced pepper) and suya but I couldn't get some suya yesterday.
