EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS

Yup!
What comes to your mind once asked about employability skills?

I bet you that many would rush to mention the Hard and High-income Skills without cognizance or paying rapt attention to the Soft Skills as well.

I think I should share this quick wit with my #Blurtians family tonight after acquiring this certificate in the process of surfing the internet in the early hours of today in search for remote job opportunities.

Interestingly, Hard Skills are mostly handed down to us in schools and colleges.

Examples include :
• Carpentry
• Fashion and Designs
• UI/UX Web Design
• Project management and so on

Soft Skills on the otherhand represent the integral part of our being or our core selves.
"It denotes emotional intelligence and describes the various competencies that are essential for building, developing and managing relationships” (Peters, 2008).

Regrettably, they are not taught in schools like the Hard or High-income Skills but developed with constant practice and strive for excellence and personal development.

Typical examples include :
• Effective Communication
• Time Management
• Decision-Making Skills
• Problem-Solving etc.

Yes!
These are skills we need to improve upon as we position ourselves for the global economy and the demands of the future work space.

They represent the ability to recognise, interpret and process emotions in yourself and others.
Intrapersonal intelligence + Interpersonal Intelligence = Emotional Intelligence

I hope you've gotten a tip of what awarded me that certificate today.💃
See ya and hoping to see us improve on our #Employability Skills without neglecting one for the other.
