Humans are social creatures. Since he was in this world even though he was still in a mother's womb, he always needed and was influenced by the presence of other people. Even when born, compared to other living things, human babies are relatively the weakest creatures. While some animals even learn to walk or find food on their own after birth, it takes humans years to be able to walk and perform other independent activities.
In humans, the presence of other people will not only have a physiological influence through the fulfillment of physical needs but also affect their psychological well-being. Physically, assistance from others will support physiological development, including supporting motor development. Psychologically, the presence of other people will help humans to develop into individuals who have the ability not only intrapersonally (related to oneself) but also interpersonally (related to others).
The consequence of a person's self-awareness that he is a social being is the awakening of an understanding that other people need him just as he needs the presence of others in his life. This understanding should lead to the choice of attitude to become a sensitive person and then want to care about others around him. Of course, this attitude can easily be biased into so-called pseudo altruism. Pseudo altruism means the emergence of sharing behavior with others, for example through giving something but actually aiming for certain rewards / benefits from the giving behavior. For example, someone donates to victims of a natural disaster and is published in the mass media for the sake of getting a good name.
