da bin ich wieder. Zurück von keiner 14 tägigen Reise nach Südkorea. Voll gepackt mit Erlebnissen und Erinnerungen, die ich in den nächsten Wochen hier mit Euch teilen möchte. Und so viel kann ich schon verraten, es war ein phänomenaler Urlaub.
Nach 11,5 Stunden Flug von Frankfurt nach Seoul kamen wir um 9:45 Uhr morgens an, was aber nach unserer Zeit 2:45 Uhr nachts war. Dementsprechend gerädert waren wir, wollten aber bis abends durchziehen um dem Jetlag entgegen zu wirken.
Glücklicherweise lief nach unserer Ankunft alles sehr reibungslos ab. Da bekamen wir schon einen Vorgeschmack auf die perfekt durchorganisierte koreanische Kultur. Gepäck war sofort da und auch unser Bus kam innerhalb von 5 Minuten, der uns vom Flughafen Incheon innerhalb einer Stunde nach Seoul rein brachte. Und das für 17.000 Won pro Person was umgerechnet 12 € sind.
Auf dem Weg bekamen wir schon einen guten Eindruck von Seoul, einer Mega City mit 20 Mio. Einwohnern. Als Hotel hatten wir uns für das Ibis im Stadtteil Myeongdong entschieden, was sich als richtige Wahl herausstellen sollte. Tolles Hotel, tolles Frühstück und sehr zentral gelegen, ideal für unsere Erkundungstouren durch die Stadt. Geplant hatten wir zunächst ein paar Tage Seoul, dann Weiterfahrt nach Busan und über Gyeongju zurück für die letzten Tage Seoul. Aber davon dann mehr in den nächsten Tagen und Wochen.

here I am again. Back from a 14 day trip to South Korea. Packed with experiences and memories, which I would like to share with you here in the next few weeks. And this much I can already reveal, it was a phenomenal vacation.
After an 11.5 hour flight from Frankfurt to Seoul, we arrived at 9:45 in the morning, which was 2:45 at night according to our time. Accordingly, we were exhausted, but wanted to pull through until the evening to counteract the jet lag.
Fortunately, everything went very smoothly after our arrival. There we already got a foretaste of the perfectly organized Korean culture. Luggage was there immediately and also our bus arrived within 5 minutes, which took us from Incheon airport to Seoul within an hour. And that for 17,000 won per person which is the equivalent of 12 €.
On the way we already got a good impression of Seoul, a mega city with 20 million inhabitants. As a hotel we had chosen the Ibis in the Myeongdong district, which turned out to be the right choice. Great hotel, great breakfast and very centrally located, ideal for our exploration tours through the city. We had planned first a few days Seoul, then continue to Busan and via Gyeongju back for the last days Seoul. But more about that in the next days and weeks.
