Fishing Day Activities

Greetings everyone, I've been slightly in a busy situations and even if I am very busy I keep myself being consistent here at the Platform. I made an article tonight and this is very special, A Father and Son activities, and this time My Father was decided to do fishing at the river. I was very interested of joining up fishing but my Brother wasn't there because He was very busy doing his School projects. 1 PM when I started to get ready the things we will use for fishing just like nets and an empty plastic bottle were we put the shrimps and fish and also shells.

First I checked the nets we will going to used to see if there are holes on it. The fist must not escape and we don't wan the fish to be escape. Here in the Province particularly here at the Farm, we called this thing SABAY a kind of nets attached by the two sticks. To make this net will not float, we put peebles and bolts so the the nets will always submerge at the water. This kind of size of a net is better to catch more shrimps and fish at the river.

Because of the intense hot sunny day, the water level keeps decreasing and the stones are slowly showed up in the surface. Most of the place at the river are already covered with algae plants were some of the shrimps hiding and inhabited. 3 PM when we started to searched and catched more fish and shrimps at the river. It was lucky for us because the water was very clear and we can be abled to see under water were the fish swim or hide. My Father told me about searching shells also like SUSO a kind of Pointed and sharp shells found at the river.

This is the suso looks like, a very pointed and sharp shells only found in the river. There are lots of this hiding under the sand and big stones. My Mother loves to eat this kind of shell and she cooked it as Ginataan dish. I searched lots of this kind and gladly I found more of it hiding at the mud.

There are lots of falling leaves and bamboos submerged at the water and it will be expected that there have lots of shrimps hiding at the bamboos. Dry leaves is also one of the best place inhabited by the shrimps and fishes. My Father was carefully place his net at the water and started to swirled the areas so that the shrimps and fish will come out and run to the nets. After that, we carefully checked the net to see if there are shrimps and fish caught and gladly there was.

At the middle of our fishing activities, I also noticed this cow and this animal was very busy eating some grass near at the river. This is a perfect place were the farm raising animals will placed because lots of grass grows near at the watery place like river or streams. This animal can also drink water at the river when she will get thirsty.

This pile of stone is used for laundry place. The washed clothes is placed on the top of this stones, the residents also dug the sand at the river so that it can be very easy to washed their clothes. Not quite far away from the washing areas is this shallow and deep parts of the river. Children will have a lot of good time spending by swimming at the place. The is also a perfect spot for swimming activities because it keeps the place always cool and shady because of the trees grows at the place.

A perfect for the meal. I am happy to have lots of shrimps, fish and shells we catched during our fishing day. My Mother was also surprised to this big shrimps, and she hurriedly cooked for our meals. We are lucky to have a river abundant with fish, crabs, shells and shrimps. This gives us a great contributions specially for the food we ate.
