Visiting The Abandoned Hatchery in Lugait

I have been here backed 15 Years ago, the time when this place was still in operational by hatching and taking care of some Marine Animals like Shrimps, Fish and Algae plants. This is located in Calangahan Lugait, Misamis Oriental and the name of this place is San Jose Aqua Farm. The last time I visited here was this fish tanks made of solid concretes are filled with water and some Marine animals. As for many years has past, this areas was totally abandoned, well not all entire areas are being abandoned, there are few place inside of the Aqua Farm that still in usable now-a-days and it turned into a motorpark areas. I really missed this place because every Weekened, always went here together with my Relatives to do swimming on one of the fish tanks here. It served as a swimming for us here and we can save a budget instead of going on an expensive beach resort. Approximately there are 30 different depths of Fish tanks including its sizes. Some of it are already covered with thick grass and some thorned trees.

This Aqua Farm is near at the Main road were lots of different kinds of vehicles passing by. It will be easy to locates the place and a few steps, we can reach the place. It was 9 in the morning when I arrived the place, and as for that I started to explored the place particularly in the Fish tanks and some structures. Each tanks contains a big polythelene tube that can easily channeled and flow the Sea water on each tanks. The entire place is filled solid concrete particularly the Ground.

This Hatchery is built at the top of a cliff and it will be expected to go down to the shore very difficult, that is why they decided to built this concrete stairs at the slope areas near at the Aqua Farm. Butbas many years has passing by, those concrete stairs was already having big cracks and a few wild plants grows at the place. This stairs will lead down to the shore and approximately 100 steps on it. Some of the cliffs are also put a solid concrete particularly in the place were some structures will built just like Small house and Waiting shed. The house can be found here is made of light materials and the people who lives here that time was the workers of the Aqua Farm.

Each fish tanks contains a numbers this can help to indicates easily specially if there is a problem. This is a kind of big and deep fish tanks but this tanks contains big prawns the last time I visited here. Almost 100 big prawns on each tanks can be seen here but now it was already dried, having cracks and a few wild plants grows inside of the tanks.

This is the place were lots of Motorcycles parked owned by the workers who work at the Fabrication areas near at the Aqua Farm. The structure is still intact and they keep the place renovated so that they can have a place to park their vehicles. The fish tanks near at this place was already covered with grass and it will be really in great challenge to clean the place.

In this thick and wild areas was once a Fish tanks and a deep well built on the place. There are two old deep well can be seen here that time but it was already demolished and the only structure was left is the Comfort room. The place was entirely covered with this thick wild grass and some of the structures are hardly found and seen. It is very dangerous to went at the site because of expected dangerous animals like Snakes and harmful insects like wasps.

This wooden Gate is the main entrance of the Farm and it is built very unique. This was alsona large sign board nailed at the wooden gates says No Enter, well this place was completely abandoned and this gate is completely destroyed.

This place is truly missed back on my childhood days, there are lots of good memories here and I like to went back here even if it is totally abandoned. Thank you for visiting my post, have a nice day everyone.
