Over the years, decades, centuries and even millennium, we have seen how humans and animals have bonded and the both parties benefit from themselves. Having a pet can be really scary to me but I love them when I see them with others, especially puppies 😁.
I grew up in a family that have little or no concern about pets and I'm sure that's the reason why I don't seem to like having pet too 😏. I've read so many post today and I've see how they all have sweet and memorable experiences with their pets and I'm feeling so jealous for not having one 🥺😔.
I once had the opportunity to lived with a family that had a dog but I was so scared of going close to it but it always tries to come close but trust me, I will just run away 😂. It got to a point when I realized that running away will not change any thing so I tried getting close to the dog anytime my little brother was playing with it and with time I started facing my fears and I was now feeling a little comfortable around the dog.
For weeks I was able to move around but I just couldn't get rid of the fear totally. And because of the fear that I was unable to get rid of, something really bad almost happened. I just came back from an errand and there was no one outside because we had light at home. I was so happy there was light and I was running upstairs and I forgot there was a dog around but immediately I got to the door, the dog started barking, I became very scared and I ran back downstairs.
I stayed there and started calling for my brother but they were seeing a movie and the volume was at the highest. I yelled very loud but no body responded and by now, the dog was no longer barking but I was just too scared to go back. I kept trying but no one was coming and I immediately felt some silence, guess what? Lights out!!! The light was gone, I was suppose to be sad because I needed the light but I was happy, now they will hear me when I call.
While I was just trying to call again, my brother just came outside and was even playing with the dog, I quickly asked him to hold the dog so I will pass through. I was not sure why the dog was barking but I'm suspecting it's because it sensed my fear 😏. I liked the dog but I just still couldn't feel comfortable around him. Sadly, they gave the dog out to a boy because it now has lick all over his body because he was always going to the bush to hunt for food. I was also happy too because now I don't have to fear I will run into it anymore, hehe.
But if I'm to have any pet, I think I will go for a bird, Parrot to be precise. But I hope to overcome my fears someday and get a puppy as a pet 🙈.
