For a long time, some people have been wondering if Islam has guaranteed basic human rights at all. Only those who are aware of the history and political progress of the West.
Ignorant of these people, the idea is that the protection of human rights has improved only in Western countries. But this idea is completely wrong. Islam has guaranteed the protection of basic human rights at that time and in reality humanity has enjoyed it to the highest level, while the concept of human rights has not been born among others.
Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi delivered a speech on basic human rights at the invitation of the Rotary Club of Lahore and the language was mentioned in the context. Human rights, on the one hand, are an integral part of the constitution of the Islamic State, and on the other hand, they have the status of the foremost principles for national principles in Islam. The third part of the book begins with a description of these rights.
Basic human rights is basically a discourse. Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi (RA) gave this speech at the Rotary Club of Lahore. It was recorded by Maulana Khalil Ahmad Hamedi. Fundamental rights are not a new concept The same can be said of our Muslims.
Fundamental human rights doctrine is nothing new to us. In the eyes of others, the history of this right may have originated from the Charter of the United Nations or from the Magna Carta of England. But in our opinion, this doctrine started long ago. Here I think this doctrine on the fundamental rights of human beings originated long ago.
Here, before shedding light on fundamental human rights, I think it is important to briefly describe the origins of the human rights doctrine.
Why the question of fundamental rights?Man is a creature in the world about which the question arises again and again among man himself, what is his fundamental right? In fact, this is a kind of surprise.
The rights of other creatures living in the world other than mankind are determined by nature itself and they are enjoying it. That's why they don't have to think about anything. But human beings are creatures whose question arises, what are their rights? And they need to determine this right.
