Working at the Cake Fair, I learned a very important thing: we are responsible to our customers for the result of our work, so the skill must be so high that it allows us to perfectly fulfill the customer's wishes.
The artist and the confectioner-reserve are similar in that each one is given a TOR before starting work, in which the customer explains what he wants to receive as a result of the service provided. The case when the customer asks to arrange "according to his taste" is rare and very inconvenient for both parties, since the vision of people in relation to certain things does not always converge.
Therefore, in my work, I adhere to several very important principles:
✨ I am always "for" TK, because I need to at least have a minimal idea of what is required of me
✨ if there is no specific TK, I start to find out the preferences of the customer, couple or recipient of the portrait: favorite color, flowers, place, hobby, film, music - anything that can give an idea to appear in my head
✨ I use the simplest, neutral design if there is no preference (yes, yes, it happens)
✨ I negotiate each stage of work and each decision made with the customer. I never start working in color until the client approves the sketch.
✨ I ask you to make changes (in an adequate amount)
Continued in the next post.
The experience we get from our work is what makes us to get better at it and I can say the same about you because the more you get more customers and the more you interact with them, the better you become as an artist
@andrianna, que hermoso tu trabajo, saludos.
experience cannot be obtained in school and money cannot buy
Good job
