I have no idea.... it’s all very mysterious. I see Hive whales going on and on about dumping Steem while they quietly earn massive amounts of Steem from Curation on Steemit.

I don't see it. The two largest delegators to upmewhale are unknown accounts. One says based in Cayman islands the other a financial company in Puerto Rico.

The vast majority of whales and orcas on hive are not participating on steem any longer.
