Hey guys. Happy weekend. Hope you are having a good time staying at home with family, that's is you don't work on Saturdays, anyways. Most of us always anticipate the start of the weekend because we have the time to do what we love to do. We relax and watch our favorite shows and sports.

My day started off in the kitchen with some cooking. I love eating home made meals and most times I don't get the opportunity to do that during the week due to my busy schedule. Weekend is an opportunity to use the kitchen and do what I feel like.

I love cooking because it's so much fun when I am in the mood. When I cook because I'm overly hungry I may not be patient enough to enjoy the moment due to the fact that I'm being seriously hungry. Cooking gives me the platform to show some creativity and try something new. I may decide to slice my plantain round today, tomorrow it may be diced. Or I add cut my onions and pepper with knifes on the chopping board or blend with a blender and so on.

More importantly, I love it when people praise me for my good cooking. For instance, this morning a friend of mine walked in while I was cooking and we shared the food together and I was filled with so much joy and pride when she said the food was lovely. "Awwwn, thank you", I replied in a low tone.

I made fried yam and I ate with some fish sauce. I boil my yam for some minutes before I fry. It makes it more sumptuous. 😘
