Hi Everyone,
I wanted to do this post for a long time, but I haven't got a chance as other things took over. People on Blurt don't understand the tags well and just use tags from posts that are getting nice upvotes.
But tags do not make you earn more, they are just a classification of posts, so people can find the post.
What are Tags
Let's say a person is from the Latam community, he can find posts using the #blurtaltam tag.
If he is from India, he can use the #blurtindia or #blurt-india tag
So, basically, the tag works as the classification or filter, helping users to find posts they want to see.
Say, for example, you don't know german or Spanish, so why would you want to see a post in the same. You might want to see posts in other languages, so just explore related tags.
The first tag is always the main category of the post and should be tagged wisely. You can use additional tags, if it relates to your post.

Very helpful information 👍
Thanks
this is very helpful. especially for people who lack support from their country. they will know which tags are needed to get curated.
Thank for sharing. Have a nice day✨
Yes, only one or two category tags, then you can add content related tags
oh no, I usually just use tags in hopes of curation. 😅
That does not make sense. If your post appear in every tag, others post can be missed.
Same can be with you if others post is repeated.
yes. I realized that. like a bunch of "greedy" people. but it is their way of getting their content seen by others. Merketing. Or branding?
But that breaks the rules and gets messy.
Yepp that does not make sense
thank you for this post. The use of tags is always a problem of mine.
Thanks, i will update the post and keep link in the reddit
Very educative I learn something. I have to make my first tag blurtconnect-ng although it was not part of the list. I use the r2cornell but since when I have been using it, I have not been curated from that account.
Yes, tags have a different purpose. It does not ensure you get a vote.
True talk buddy
Strange there isn't a tag for Canadian content.
I notice a lot of people use the #Blurt tag even if their post has nothing to do with Blurt. When I post about Blurt, for example price charts, I notice my post gets ignored by Blurtbooster, which is odd.
There might be one, but I don't see much of Canadian community here (except some people)
People just use #blurt tag everywhere thinking it gives them extra votes, but no.
Booster does not check any tag, it just have some rules and filters based on content
Yeah I guess this is mainly an Indian and African platform.
Booster's filters must not like discussion of Blurt price analysis because that topic gets me ignored. It seems to prefer content about Covid-19.
I can agree with African but not indian as the engagement of Indians is very low here.
You said there's a Blurt India tag...
Yes that was started way back by some indian witnesses
Nicely written and explained!
Thanks, do reblog as well.

An off-topic but useful question considering you are working so hard on behalf of #Blurt.
Is there any application able to determine for example what I have earned as a healer during a certain period?
The stats on the official healing rewards in Official Blurt don't work.
Thanks in advance for the answer @tekraze.
I am not sure what you are looking, but there was one bi-blurt app for stats.
At the beginning of the post you wrote #blurtaltam. You should correct it. It is #blurtlatam
It is an excellent post. There are many users who think only about votes. For example it is a classic on other platforms (where many of them come from) where they even write the name of the communities.
Greetings @tekraze your contribution is invaluable in #Blurt.
Thanks, I will update.
I just wanted to let people know to use correct tags. I myself feel hard to filter content because of this and may not find good content because of that
