There are two main types of cricket. They are:

  1. Test Cricket: This is the most well-known form of cricket. It is played between different countries and is held on a regular basis. It is the most challenging form of cricket and the most popular.
Test cricket is played between two teams, which are called ‘batsmen’ and ‘bowling’ sides. A match is played in one day or over several days. It involves 6 or 7 players from each team who usually bat and bowl.

  2. First-Class Cricket: This is the second most popular form of cricket. It is played by teams of club cricketers. It is similar to test cricket, though it is played over a shorter span of time.
