FOOD FOR THOUGHT: EYES ON THE GOAL

in r2cornell •  2 years ago

The older I get, the more I am convinced that there are many people who are spending their lives living and pursuing other people's goals and dreams instead of their own. As a matter of fact, there are many who have not mustered the courage to have that conversation with themselves, as to what their life goals really are, and how to approach them. Now that we're on this, what exactly are your life goals: spiritual, career, academic, marriage and parenting, financial and relationship, and nay, all facets of your life. What are you pursuing? Or are you just floating in the ocean of the crowd?

We need to set goals and go get them, Note that your life is different from any and every other life you know, you can't simply get happy by applying what works for another person on his or her life. Know what works for you that is not offensive to God or injurious to you. Achieving another person's goals cannot give you fulfilment, as many have unfortunately found out late.

Sit down and write down all your goals in all areas of your life and quietly set out to achieve them, relying on God's grace and keeping your eyes on the goal.

Good luck and God's grace.

Peace be with you!
