Christmas is that season when we celebrate the fact that God sent Love to bring us Joy, Peace and Salvation. That, God has done, what is left is for us humans to accept and extend these gifts to our fellow human beings: we should show love, we should make peace, share joy and lead others to salvation.
Sometimes we worry about the right things in the wrong way, we worry about national and global peace, but we fail to see how family peace can impact these positively or negatively. This Christmas, God wants us to focus on our families and show love, make peace, share joy and lead each member along the path of salvation. For me, I decided to celebrate this Christmas with my new family in Cameroon in the best way I could. I decided to host the children in a Christmas party. I asked them what they would love and they told me the had never seen "Father Christmas"(Santa Clause). I hadn't money to pay for that so I rented the custume and decided to act as the Santa Clause myself and share gifts to the kids. This party was on Friday 23rd of December 2022.
Yesterday I biught some gifts such as toys, pop corn, searchet ice cream and biscuits to share in the three villages I celebrated masses.
Even with the stress and expenses, I can proudly say this is the best Christmas I have had. At least I had the opportunity to put smiles on the faces of hundreds of children. I can't believe we had all these in Nigeria but never appreciated it but here are some children who only wish for half of what we had.
