Saints are not some sort of super humans or those who necessarily did extraordinary things but those who did ordinary things in an extraordinary way, thus they opened an account for themselves in heaven.
My visit to Selagi, a settlement in Gboko local Government Area of Benue state on Friday, 4th October 2022, sparked a fire in me on witnessing the works done there by Fr. Ada Emmanuel Raji @rajitsear. Indeed here is a saint in the making.
This was my first time visiting Selagi, although I am from Benue state, I never knew a place like that did exist. The settlement is about 2 hours and 45 minutes drive from the tarred road.
At Selagi, I was in awe of the substandard living of the members of the community. What amazed me the more was the fact that about 45 persons were housed by Fr. Raji, and this goes with their feeding, power supply, school fees for the kids e.t.c.
I had the privilege of visiting the school which was built by Fr. Raji for the community (though still under construction)
From the School @rajitsear took me to the blurt hospital building... kudos! To him for such works done for the community.
The inner view👇
The work I saw at Selagi which is carried out by Fr. Ada Raji has triggered that thought in me which is "what do I wish to be remembered for when I die?" Of course, the people of Selagi will never forget him. They will not just remember him for his good looks or his intelligence or the way he speaks but for his works. This, It is a stark reminder to us all that we shall die, and that's an immutable, inexorable fact; but when I die, what shall become of me?
When I die, I shall be no more on earth, gradually my memory on earth will fade and I'll become only a distant, occasional memory. Whatever that memory will be, only God knows for sure, but I must work for it now that I still can, because when I die, I can't change anything anymore. When I die, I don't want only the memory of my face to linger, I want people to remember my name and smile, and say thank God for him, it was he whom God used to do this or that for me. I am working hard, very hard, for that because when I die I shall work no more.
Finally, I asked the villagers the name of their ongoing hospital and one replied "Blurt hospital"... I smiled especially because the little boy who answered my question had no idea of what blurt is but blurt has made an impact in his life and others through @rajitsear
It's such wonderful work and oh, how wonderful it would be if Blurt didn't stand (like many other blockchaines) for strife, power plays, selfishness, greed for money, but for friendship, cohesion, support, etc. How wonderful it would be if we went down in history as the blockchain that built and keeps a hospital running in Nigeria, funded by cryptocurrency, by a community with heart....that improves the lives of hundreds of people in one of the poorest areas in the world.
There was once a person who said, "I have a dream..."
Sometimes dreams can come true, however I don't believe the Blurt community has that spirit.
It's a pity, it could have been something really big and for Blurt it would also be a great promotion, which could surely win many people...
Dear @rajitsear ,
If we didn't have our own project in Uganda,
I would support you more.
I hope you will continue to take us here and tell us about your village , the school and the hospital.
And who knows....
There was once a person who said, "I have a dream..."
Thank you @dicksonbem for the beautiful post!
I was very happy to see it!
Oh my world !!
God bless you each . It can only be people of goodwill expressing their feelings towards a very poor community.
Thanks @Eli ; thanks to Dickson !
God bless you all .
I will continue to update what we doing ….
How I wish history could be made here!!
I pray for a reform .
My visit to the community was worth the stress and I am happy with the work done there.... indeed blurt is more beautiful without all the tensions.
This is the reason Blurt should stay alive. We all can't go to Northern Nigeria and visit the village, but because of your story we can. We see a foundation has been laid and built upon. People call this hospital "The Blurt Hospital". Good seeds have been planted and need to be watered and cared for. Crypto can be a great way to share and make our dreams come true.
Very true my brother.... Blurt has indeed touched the lives of those people and I believe they will never forget the name.... Blurt has indeed won a place in my heart
I am yet to visit this hospital and hopefully and soon I will visit this place 😎😎
Trust me, its a place you wouldn't regret visiting. I would love to visit again

Thanks for sharing this.... it only reminds us of how long and how much @rajitsear has done for this community
I just hope he doesn't fall under the spell of big pharma and let them use his community as their guinea pigs as they always do in Africa.
