There is something that cuts across every tribe,skin colour,age and every facet of life,it is a natural and has been in existence as long as man.
Jealousy,I am talking about jealousy! Jealousy is something that every human feels, even God said at some point in the Bible that he is a "jealous God".
In every form of relationship be it friendships or romantic relationships, jealousy is prevalent. Although natural,it can become dangerous when a person cannot control his or her self.
When a mother gives more love to a child and ignored the other,it leads to jealousy which in turn generates into "hatred". It is safe to say that jealousy and hatred goes hand in hand.
A child becomes jealous when he sees that another child has a beautiful toy and he doesn't.
In places of work, people get jealous of their co-workers, "how come he got promoted before me,am twice as hardworking!","he's always wearing expensive clothes like his better than us all"....these and many more leads to jealousy,when a person is ahead of another person in life, jealousy and occurs.
In relationships, partners get jealous when they see their better half with someone else. This jealousy of a thing has ended the lives of so many people. Husband kills their wife and wives kills their husbands.

In friendship, friends get jealous of each other "I am also beautiful,why does she gets asked out all the time and I don't?", "He's not better than me in any way but people likes him more","is he the only one? Good looks and rich parents while I have nothing!"," She's been with her man for five years now while I have been in four different relationships". If care is not taken,friends end up poisoning each other.
In the family,"mom loves John than us all","dad bought a new phone for peace but got nothing me".
Even in the church people get jealous of each other,"she's just showing off by wearing new clothes every Sunday","he's always changing cars to church","if anyone should be appointed a pastor,it should be me not him".
Jealousy brings division,it leads to hatred and in extreme cases,lives are lost! We all get jealous at a point in our lives but learning to control it would really come a long way.
In the Bible, Cain was jealous of the fact that God accepted the offering of his brother Abel but rejected his. What happened? He killed his brother! So many cases like this happens every now and then.
I believe instead of being jealous of another, why not turn that jealousy into "challenge"? You don't understand? Okay,I'd explain.
Since this is part of us,the best we can do is control it. When a person is extremely jealous of another,he tries everything possible to destroy that person's life,to bring them down to their level or lower than their level. There's hardly a good part of jealousy.

When you get jealous because your friend is in a stable relationship,why not try to make yours stable? Put extra effort. jealous about a person's look? Nobody created themselves,the best thing to do is believe in yourself,you are beautiful and handsome just the way you are.
Whenever you get jealous for any reason,look the other way,see the other side of the picture, he's always topping the class? Read your book too, it's not something difficult.
