Amata huebneri is a species of moth in the genus Amata of the family Erebidae (subfamily Arctiinae or "tiger moth"). Adult moths of this species are black with yellow or orange bands on the abdomen, and transparent windows on the wings. This species is camouflaged like most species of stinging wasps. This camouflage provides protection from predators such as birds. This species is found throughout most of Southeast Asia, including Java, Bali, Borneo, Singapore, as well as in northern Australia and Queensland. Larvae are often found foraging on rice plants (Oryza sativa).
