Surviving and Thriving in Nigeria: We might have been blind to our own strength and weakness.

in nigeria •  2 years ago

There are times when it won't take much for us to realize that we have been blind to our strengths and weaknesses. It seems like we are experiencing one of such moments in the history of my country and I'm genuinely impressed with how some people are dealing with the situation.

Hardship sure has its way of getting people toughened up. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's beginning to seem like a little hardship isn't such a bad thing after all. There have been so much to learn from the series of hardship that's going on within the last couple of days and so many of us are still standing.

I got to have a very interesting discussion with a couple of people today. It was interesting to see how every one of them have been tweaking their lifestyle to make sure that they won't get sucked into the void by the hardship which is trying to knock down each of our doors.

One of the notable points I picked from this series of discussions is that;

We've reached a point in the history of our country where it's left for every one of us to defend ourselves against the evil that's lurking in different areas of the country.

I don't think there has been a worse time than now to live a life of dependency. We can't depend on our Government, Central Bank or the folks in Uniform. Woe betides anyone that wakes up each day to be dependent on someone else. We do not have that luxury anymore. Know this and know peace.

What's the way forward?

What can we do to survive today and live to see another day?

I wish I have an answer to that, but I don't have a clear answer. To be fair, that's where my knowledge of survival and thriving in a country like Nigeria starts to run out because I'm not an expert on that. I'm still alive though. I guess that's something noteworthy.

As I get ready for a new week, I'm all set and ready to contend with whatever life throws on my path.

Uno de los puntos notables que elegí de esta serie de discusiones es que;
