My sister: A 4x4 woman in my life

in newvisionlife •  last year

I think that we women are all 4x4, maybe not even by our own will, but because we have no other choice, when we care about others, we do the impossible to make them well, often even at the expense of ourselves, although it is not the idea either. As in everything, balance is fundamental.

On this occasion I want to talk about my sister, an example of struggle, joy and love.

My sister is a human being with a very noble heart, always full of joy, when she faces any difficulty, she has always handled it in the best possible way, without losing her essence, without stopping smiling and having an optimistic attitude.

She is the kind of person you can count on, to have a friendly friend and wise advice. At her side you can feel confident and secure, when you are bad, she gives you peace, even if she is worse.

She fights for what she wants, she gives her life for those she loves, she is a great mother and devoted wife, as a sister, the best.

Her courage, determination and love for others are an example to me, besides loving her, I admire her.

Many years ago, she and her family went through a time of economic crisis, but her spirit was the same, radiant.

One day she told me that she intended to rent to a company a pick-up truck that she and her husband had for personal use, in order to generate income, it was the only material asset they had and it was a big risk, because something could happen to the truck, however, she saw it as an opportunity and had faith in her instinct, the balance was in favor of what she could gain, rather than what she could lose, so she and her husband agreed that it would be the best thing to do.

It was the beginning of an important change in her life, with the income they were able to save for a business venture and even rented a place to live that was to their liking.

In some years, they were distributors of oil for vehicles in the area, they were able to buy their own house, a truck for their personal use and even a boat to go fishing.

But that is not achieved without effort, dedication and good management, they lived with their expenses cut, in order to grow. Best of all, he has always maintained his loving and generous attitude.

Later, when she did not like the political situation in our country and although they were fine, she decided to leave to explore other horizons. Actually it was something that would happen sooner or later, because no excuse was needed, to leave the country, it was a dream she had since she was a child.

She sold some of her possessions and left here a small house in an urbanization that she loves and the boat that her husband appreciates so much. It was not much that they left with, but she achieved another of her goals and now lives in Chile, where she has been living for about seven years, if I am not mistaken.

There she works hard to overcome every challenge and keep moving forward. She knows how to fight, she knows how to give, she knows how to love.

Although all my siblings are out of the country, I am not sad, I am happy for them, I admire that they look for what they want, instead of staying paralyzed, to live in complaint.

While in Chile, she had to face the greatest challenge of her life, one that is not for me to tell. The photograph that accompanies this text, was from that moment, she was ready for her battle and her countenance says it all, she was not willing to lose and even cared for others, to avoid suffering to those she loves.

As always, she was the best of warriors and showed, once again, what she is made of, that strong inner fire that makes her a winner in every situation. She has known how to lead her life with more fortitude than many.

She has always been my encouragement in difficult times.

Sister, I love you, I admire you, I respect you.
