According to the research I made pertaining the history of basketball, It all started;
In the winter of 1891, Dr. James Naismith, a Canadian physical education instructor, devised a game to keep his students active indoors. He hung a peach basket at each end of the gym and handed his class a soccer ball. The objective was straightforward: toss the ball into the opposing team's basket.
The game quickly gained popularity, with its first official match played in 1892. As its reach expanded, new rules were introduced, including dribbling and the abolition of the soccer ball for a specialized basketball.
