Better ways to presentation and passing information.

I remember vividly, the first time I was told I would be presenting in my University tech camp meeting. I was so scared that I almost rejected it, saying I can't do it, I don't know where to start, what to say, or how to even go about it. 😅

Initially I was assigned to be the lead presenter, which I rejected. Before the school departmental adviser summoned me for a meeting. He tried talking me into accepting it, he told me "You can do anything, if you set your heart to do it." I replied saying "Sorry sir, I don't have my heart set to do this. 😅 we laughed. He gave some vital reasons why I was choosen saying i have the capability, aura, and candor of a good speaker and presenter, only if you could work on yourself and improve this ability, then the sky is "not the limit."

This are some of the key points he gave me in starting and giving a brilliant presentation with an effective effect on the audience.

1. Telling a captivating story:

Stories draw people's attention, telling them who they are, what they could be.

2. Asking a rhetorical, thought provoking question:

When a well crafted and well delivered rhetorical question is been asked the audience, it get people thinking and it causes them to believe in the position of the presenter.

3. Use of powerful quote:

The use of wise words of a well known person help make the presentation more credible and relevant.

4. Use of videos and captivating detailed pictures:

Videos causes emotional responses that help read the audience, and photo usage aid easier comprehension of the message.

The usage of these few points really helped me in the presentation, I received an ovation after the whole thingy, I'm quite sure if you can put this into use. Even if not for presentation but the way we communicate to people.
