A new graduated final year student of my school just launch he’s new foundation and named it Jay prime foundation in here in yola, so today dated 18 February was his birthday so he organized some groups of students to visit one of the orphanage home in yola here, and he bought some items such as cloths, rice, biscuits, washing soap etc and we took them to orphanage homes, we also went with some barbers, hairdressers to braid and cut the kids hair to make them look nice. It was such a lovely and kind gesture and I’m happy to be part of this movement. I pray by next time we are planning to visit again he’s going to get enough support so that we can reach at least more than one orphanage homes here in yola. An orphanage home, also known as an orphanage or children's home, is a residential institution that provides care and shelter to children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or neglected. Orphanages are typically established to provide a safe and supportive environment for children who do not have a family or a stable home life.

The primary goal of an orphanage is to provide for the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the children in their care. This can include:

  1. Food and shelter: Providing a safe and comfortable place for the children to live, as well as nutritious food and clothing.
  2. Education: Ensuring that the children receive a quality education, either on-site or through enrollment in local schools.
  3. Healthcare: Providing access to medical care and health services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for illnesses or injuries.
  4. Emotional support: Offering counseling, therapy, and other forms of emotional support to help the children cope with their circumstances and develop emotional well-being.
  5. Socialization: Encouraging socialization and interaction with others, including peers, caregivers, and community members.

Orphanages can be run by a variety of organizations, including:

  1. Government agencies: Some governments operate orphanages as part of their social welfare programs.
  2. Non-profit organizations: Many non-profit organizations, such as charities and NGOs, establish and operate orphanages to provide care and support to vulnerable children.
  3. Religious organizations: Some religious organizations, such as churches and mosques, operate orphanages as part of their community outreach and social service programs.
  4. Private individuals: Some private individuals or families may establish and operate orphanages as a way to provide care and support to children in need.
