So my school hosted an evening Valentine’s Day hangout for lovers to come and showcase their little way of lover for their love once. An eatery was booked and designed red and white to make the Valentine’s Day celebration 🎉.

Valentine's Day is a celebration that's all about love and affection, and it's observed on February 14th every year. The day has its roots in Christian tradition, honoring a martyr named Saint Valentine, but over time it's evolved into a cultural and commercial celebration of romance and love. People typically mark the day by sending greeting cards, giving gifts, and spending quality time with their loved ones. In some countries, it's also a day for couples to express their love for each other, and it's often associated with symbols like hearts, Cupid, and red roses.

The story of Saint Valentine is pretty fascinating, too. According to legend, he was a priest who lived in Rome and was martyred on February 14th. One of the most famous stories about him is that he performed secret marriages for couples, defying the Roman Emperor's ban on marriage. Before his execution, he's said to have written a letter to the daughter of his jailer, signing it "From your Valentine," which is where the modern-day expression comes from.

In different parts of the world, Valentine's Day is celebrated in unique ways. For example, in Slovenia, it's a day when plants and flowers start to grow, and it's considered the beginning of spring. In Italy, Saint Valentine's keys are given to lovers as a romantic symbol, and in some countries, it's a day for singles to find love. Overall, Valentine's Day is a time for people to come together, show appreciation for each other, and celebrate the power of love ¹.
