Numbers chapter 14 verse 24 said “But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.”
The moral lesson for this passage is Following the Lord cheerfully, consistently, without murmuring, and without arguing with Him is no small thing. If we would follow God fully, we must also have a different spirit, one different from the spirit of the world and from our own natural spirit. We need the Spirit of God directing and guiding our lives.
Jeremiah chapter 51 verse 20-24 says that “You are My battle-ax and weapons of war: For with you I will break the nation in pieces; With you I will destroy kingdoms; With you I will break in pieces the horse and its rider; With you I will break in pieces the chariot and its rider; With you also I will break in pieces man and woman; With you I will break in pieces old and young; With you I will break in pieces the young man and the maiden; With you also I will break in pieces the shepherd and his flock; With you I will break in pieces the farmer and his yoke of oxen; And with you I will break in pieces governors and rulers. “And I will repay Babylon And all the inhabitants of Chaldea For all the evil they have done In Zion in your sight,” says the LORD.
Mathew chapter 10 verse 34-36 says that “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's foes will be members of one's own household”
