A few days ago we shared How we Planned Our Pantry. Today I am so excited to share with you the outcome of the hard work of two and a half weeks.
Below is the design that we finalized a day before the carpenter arrived. But once all the measurements with waste were taken, we had to do plenty of changes to the design.
To keep the balance and manage the space we had to remove some boxes and add some other features. Top cupboards are made as fully covered boxes. But lower cupboards we remain wall and tiled floor as two sides of the box. At first, I didn't like to do this but later considering the problems of sealing the wall and also considering the cost I agreed.
Carpenter introduced a new open shelf after removing one cupboard. Also introduced were a very creative plate rack and a cooker hood cover.
The carpenter did a great job with all carvings and I also really wanted to keep some stylish space as my dreams. Our woodish-looking tiles perfectly matched the pantry even though I doubt it before.
The shape of the cooker hood we purchased gave us a challenge, we had to invent a way to insert the hood into the wood cover. But somehow the carpenter had managed to insert the hood in a proper way.
Window designs were taken from the internet. First I wanted to keep it plain without carving but later I thought it was good to add a simple line design.
Also, we faced some challenges when deciding the sizes of lockers. But sharply we managed to keep enough space for plates and dishes.
Actually, a carpenter built everything as we wanted. Following is the spoon tray made for my special request. :) Center drain for knives, rest for spoons and other cutleries accordingly.
I am very satisfied with his work and even the smaller corners he had made with extra care. That's the biggest advantage of creating a pantry with wood. You can do many creative things.
Here is the final look of my little dream pantry. Thanks to Harith and Carpenter for making it a reality. And free promotion, if you are willing to take his support, I can provide his contact details.
I am happy for you for this beautiful Pantry @randula I am also dreaming of a walk-in pantry where I can store food supplies, it is still a distant dream.😊
I know you can do it also.. And please keep in mind to share your one with us.😋
I loved how everything turned out. The carpenter did a good job and the most important thing is that you were happy with everything.
