Hmmmmm.... I was partial to Star Trek over Star Wars, and I would say that Trek had more appeal due to the elaborate world that it constructed, which had greater plausibility than Star Wars. Lucas wanted to give Star Wars a more fleshed out and jargon laced lore-filled background, but his ideas (see the Whills, for example) were not exactly embraced as a whole by the fans. Star Trek's utopian vision of the future, while interesting to see, lost a bit of its plausibility as I got older and realized we were likely headed for the mirror universe outcome over the main line. Though, as with any attempt to try and predict the future, it is possible that this is not a correct interpretation of reality.

GREE NEYE MAGI
i liked that starwars didn't have transporter beams and aliens actually spoke alien languages and looked alien
Lots of themes to be explored in Trek as well, Star Wars did not tend to have the ability to look at nearly as many. Then again, Star Wars was more imaginative in some ways. Maybe it would vary with my personality type.
i had a lot of hope for enterprise
with the promise of no transporter beams and aliens that didn't speak english
but that lasted maybe three episodes
don't get me wrong
love tng and ds9 to death
and all of the new starwars stuff is trash
even and/or
bingo
first three seasons of expanse hit the right balance
