FADE IN:
EXT. VILLAGE SQUARE - DAY
Sophie stands in the center of the village square, surrounded by her fellow villagers. She holds a large stack of Blessing Buttons in her hands, which she has collected from those who have been deceived by Marcus's scheme.
SOPHIE (V.O.)
(voiceover)
I never thought I'd be standing here today, facing the people I once called my friends. But Marcus's Blessing Buttons had to be stopped, and I was the only one who could do it.
Sophie looks at the villagers, many of whom are angry and resentful. She knows that it won't be easy to win their trust back, but she's determined to try.
SOPHIE (V.O.)
(voiceover)
I've learned that money isn't just a piece of paper or a digital transaction. It's about people, and how we treat each other. And I know that I have a role to play in shaping the future of this village.
Sophie begins to address the villagers, explaining how she discovered Marcus's scheme and how she plans to use the Blessing Buttons to create a fairer system of exchange.
SOPHIE
(to the villagers)
I know some of you may be angry with me, but I ask for your forgiveness. I was tricked by Marcus's promises, just like all of you. But now I've seen the truth, and I'm committed to making things right.
The villagers listen attentively, some of them nodding in agreement. Sophie's words seem to resonate with them, and they begin to see her as a leader who can help them build a better future.
SOPHIE (V.O.)
(voiceover)
I've come to realize that power isn't about money or status. It's about how we use our talents and abilities to help others. And I'm ready to use mine for the greater good.
Sophie finishes her speech, and the villagers begin to murmur among themselves. Some of them look at her with newfound respect, while others still seem skeptical.
CUT TO:
INT. VILLAGE HALL - NIGHT
Sophie and a small group of villagers meet to discuss the details of the new system of exchange. They brainstorm and debate, trying to come up with a fair and equitable solution.
SOPHIE (V.O.)
(voiceover)
It wasn't easy. We faced many obstacles and challenges, but we were determined to make it work.
CUT TO:
EXT. VILLAGE SQUARE - DAY (A WEEK LATER)
Sophie stands in the center of the village square, surrounded by the villagers. They are gathered to witness the launch of the new system of exchange. Sophie explains the rules and procedures, and the villagers seem excited and hopeful.
SOPHIE (V.O.)
(voiceover)
We were making progress. Slowly but surely, we were building a better future for ourselves.
CUT TO:
EXT. VILLAGE SQUARE - DAY (A MONTH LATER)
Sophie stands in the center of the village square, but this time, she is alone. The villagers are nowhere to be seen. Sophie looks around, confused and worried.
SOPHIE (V.O.)
(voiceover)
But then, disaster struck. The new system was too complex, too difficult to understand for many of the villagers. They became frustrated and disillusioned, and they turned against me.
Sophie looks down at the stack of Blessing Buttons, now empty and worthless, as a symbol of the failure of her efforts.
SOPHIE (V.O.)
(voiceover)
I had failed. I had tried to change the system, to create something better, but in the end, I only caused more harm.
Sophie's voice breaks as she looks around at the deserted village square, now a reminder of her tragic mistake.
SOPHIE (V.O.)
(voiceover)
I had wanted to make a difference, to leave a mark on the world. But in the end, I only left a scar.
FADE OUT.

Sometimes medication is nice, sometimes it prolongs the sickness.
Hmmmmm.... I was partial to Star Trek over Star Wars, and I would say that Trek had more appeal due to the elaborate world that it constructed, which had greater plausibility than Star Wars. Lucas wanted to give Star Wars a more fleshed out and jargon laced lore-filled background, but his ideas (see the Whills, for example) were not exactly embraced as a whole by the fans. Star Trek's utopian vision of the future, while interesting to see, lost a bit of its plausibility as I got older and realized we were likely headed for the mirror universe outcome over the main line. Though, as with any attempt to try and predict the future, it is possible that this is not a correct interpretation of reality.
i liked that starwars didn't have transporter beams and aliens actually spoke alien languages and looked alien
Lots of themes to be explored in Trek as well, Star Wars did not tend to have the ability to look at nearly as many. Then again, Star Wars was more imaginative in some ways. Maybe it would vary with my personality type.
i had a lot of hope for enterprise
with the promise of no transporter beams and aliens that didn't speak english
but that lasted maybe three episodes
don't get me wrong
love tng and ds9 to death
and all of the new starwars stuff is trash
even and/or
first three seasons of expanse hit the right balance

Interesting. It has been a while, but I usually test as 5 w 4 or 5 w 6. More frequently is it 5 w 4. Ever been on the lower ends of health, according to how that is described by the system?
I am committed to 5s

It certainly can be counter to one's interests to use them sometimes.

What I like about science fiction are the extraordinary situations it takes up in an exemplary way and the reactions of the protagonists. SF fires the imagination, it also contains ordinary soap opera elements that unfold within the framework of a fictional technology. The ‘what if’ scenarios are a nice mental exercise for real experiences in everyday life.
That's how it can go if you want to change the world for the sake of changing the world. LoL
it's the journey, not the destination
