Ganoderma mushrooms are eukaryotic organisms that are classified into the true fungi group. Ganoderma cell wall consists of chitin, but the cells do not have chlorophyll. Ganoderma obtain food heterotrophs that is by taking food from organic matter around the place where it grows.

The life cycle of Ganoderma Mushroom begins with the release of millions of spores from the ripe fruiting body. Like other fungi, spores will fly by the air and then become new cells which then change to form fine filaments. These fine filaments are known as hyphae.
Ganoderma fungus can live on stumps of rubber and cocoa. These vector insects become agents of the spread of ganoderma from infected plants to healthy plants so that ganoderma attacks do not only occur at the base of the stem, but also on the scion of the upper stem rot.
