I hope my content today met you in good health, I also hope you're all doing exploits in your various needlework fields?, today's massage to you comprises of the full process i took in making these beautiful skin palm slippers for a very close friend of mine, and I believe, if you stick with me to the final dot of this article, then you would have equipped yourself with new knowledge, skills and tips on shoemaking craft.

This footwear was made for the friend as a thank you for his support financially and constant concern during my brother's stay at the hospital for a surgery, I must confess, I was overwhelmed by his generosity and kindness, and I never expected much support from him given the fact that, we've bearily knew each other for more than 8month, but now I know better, that truly, a friend in need, is a friend indeed.

So without further ado, come with me, as I take you through the process of making footwear's like the one we have in the image above.

MATERIALS USED

  • Skin material
  • Polyurethane sole
  • Marco material insole
  • Lining
  • GG logo
  • Gum
  • Silicon tube
  • Super Glue
  • Thong robe

MAKING PROCESS

  • For you to craft out a shoe, what you must first do is to know/measure the foot size of the the person you're making the footwear for, here the foot size of the the person is size 44.
  • I started cutting the skin material which I'll be using for my shoe upper, I also cut the Marco material for the insole, and then, cut the lining materials for both the shoe upper and the insole.

After that, I placed the cut upper of the slippers on the lining to cut out it shape, I also did the same for the insole, before finally Sewing the lining together with the skin material for the upper of the slippers.

  • I applied gum on the edges of the upper and joined it together, then tested it on a shoe last, attached the thing robe in the front, and cover it with a skin material, before pressing and Sewing it, and last puting it between a silicon tube.

  • I attached the GG logo.

  • constructing the insole, punch a hole on it and attached the upper to the insole.

  • Going into the final stages, I applied gum on the back of the insole and the inner part of the sole, and then attached it together, I also applied super glue on the edges so it can stick together very well.

  • After completing all the processes, I polished the slippers and here is how the slippers is looking gorgeous.

I haven't given him the footwear, yet, but I'm certain he'll love it once i deliver it to him.

I would like to thank @saboin and other top wintness and developers on the chain
