Instablurt - A Story Behind the Floods

in instablurt •  3 months ago

Happy New month @blurt community last weeks is not the stuff that I'm expecting to happen. But we're still on my in-laws house, on our second day while Ria is having her chocolate coffee ☕ Mariel and her grandfather had a fight. It all started with a swing! Mariel's child was disturb by the swing of his grandfather. So she remove it, the old man got mad. The next thing I heard was they are shouting one another. My sister in law stopped them, but Mariel was brave she pushed the old man. My son saw everything that happened; Mariel just defend herself.

If I weren't aware of the situation at our house, I would leave this place. My father-in-law has a different character. His wife and child said that he deserved what Mariel did to him. But the flood is more cruel; it filled up all the spaces left in our place. I didn't capture photos inside our house it's time to flex the place we went just to be safe for a while. Our house looks a disaster, the spot where I took photos of a beautiful sunset now is a place full of flood. So we need to left our home and I call these Evcation.

My daughter Yana is helping my mother in law to prepare our dinner. We already dry ourselves, the water in their houses is low compared to ours that almost reach the windows.

My kids are watching the news like they understand what's happening on the world. That night we can sleep without worrying that our blanket will get wet. Our pillows might soak in the flood. We just hope our things will be safe and the rats won't wrecked them.

I can't stop my kids from making loud noises. They are so innocent; all they care about is to play, eat, and sleep. But Ria said, Mom, our house is full of water. She also got scared this morning. I told my husband that I couldn't take this anymore. He needs to put a second floor on his house, or else I'll leave him. I already made a decision; he will not change if I'm still around, enduring all this kind of matter. For once, he needs to be brave enough. I didn't dream of a huge house; all I want is for us to be safe and dry. I know he can, his just afraid. I'm already two years in blogging our house is old as my grade nine son, his 14 maybe it's about time to make a change. And I'll make sure that we'll have a safer house next year.
