Unwritten quarter-finals

India remained unbeaten in the Super Twelve round of the World Cup.
India's chances of reaching the semi-finals are in jeopardy after they lost to New Zealand by six wickets due to a surprising failure by the batsmen in a crucial knockout match in the group stage.

Batting first, India's collection was only 110/6 in 20 overs! Trent Bolt took 3 for 20 in 4 overs, Ish Sodhi took 2 for 16, Mitchell Shatner gave only 15 runs. Rabindra Jadeja's innings of 26 off 19 balls with 2 fours and 1 six crossed India's 100-run mark. In reply, Martin Guptill was bowled out for 16 off just 111 runs, but Darrell Mitchell (49) and Kane Williamson (33) combined for a 72-run stand. With 33 balls to spare, New Zealand ran very well in the semi-finals with a victory of 8 wickets. On the other hand, India, which lost the first two matches, has a hard time matching the "if-but" equation to advance to the next round.
Luckily this group has Namibia and Scotland! They will give India the gift of peace!
