James Bond's old gun

I saw Bond's movie 'From Russia with Love' at the cinema hall of the Air Force Training Center. The 'Jalahali East' in Bangalore was the American and British Army Hospital. At the end of World War II, Hospital Town became a haunted place. Later, when the Air Force Training Center opens, the future of ghosts goes dark, and when those hospital wards are converted into trainees' billets, our Ketan begins. During the training, there was an English movie a week between 'Do' and 'Donuts'. From time to time Bond and Jackie Chan would entertain us. Before writing "From Russia With Love", Ian Fleming thought of a pistol and a rose for his cover. Boothroyd asked Illustrator to draw a 0.38-inch caliber Smith & Wesson snub-nosed revolver in the cover picture. He was again killed by 1/3 of the trigger guard. It should take less than a few hundredths of a second to fire the bond!

After three consecutive murders in Glasgow, London police found such a pistol, called Beatrice Butrode to the police station, and fired. Later, if a super killer named Peter Manuel was caught, the case was settled. A novel had such an impact in Britain at that time. This Smith & Wesson revolver has no external hammer (which hits the back of the cartridge). So the chances of getting stuck in Bond's pants are low. When Fleming began writing, he had his own doubts about the direction of the story. However, a lot of research has been done on the problem that can be caused by pulling the side armor hidden weapon from the blazer. Smith & Wesson could be placed in a triple-draw holster under the armpit, which would take less time to pull out. However, it was not possible to install suppressors or silencers. And I didn't like the bond suppressor.

Later, when an automatic pistol was planned for Bond, Buthroid Walder recommended a 6.75 caliber pistol to PP. However, in the 1955 movie Moonrecker, Bond was seen with a Beretta 417 pistol hidden in a 0.41-inch caliber Colt Army Special, an 8-inch long barrel pistol, and a Bentley car glove box. However, Fleming mistakenly wrote that this Army Special could fire 0.45 long colt rounds. Army Special is actually made for round loads of 0.41 caliber.
