Contribution of media in Bangladesh cricket

in instablurt •  3 years ago

The media has played a vital role in making cricket a craze in this country. Ashraful is the first great hero of Bangladesh in the eyes of local media. This is the first time that someone has come up with a visionary, deadly game that can inspire confidence in people who are deadly unpredictable, capable but whimsical, and absolutely young. I think as a nation we like tragic heroes more than consistent performers.

Bangladesh lost to New Zealand in the 2003 World Cup, in which Ashraful scored 56 runs. The newspaper printed in big letters, 'That arrogant arrogance, well done Ashraful!'

Ashraful is the first cricket superstar of this country. We played for a respectable defeat at that time. And the victory against Zimbabwe was the only achievement of Bangladesh. it goes without saying that there was no win against any good team in the first row. Ashraful's stormy batting helped us win the ODI against Zimbabwe, Ashraful's batting brought an unforgettable victory for Australia. Ordinary cricket spectators began to believe that Ashraful had the ability to win the match.

Ashraful was the only superstar cricketer in the country for a long time, the media played a bigger role than his performance. Shakib came in 2006. As Tamim came as a king, Shakib's rise is simpler than that. But with regular performances, he quickly took his place in the team, yet he was not exactly a superstar. In 2006, Ashraful, then the captain of the national team, was at the same time the undisputed biggest star. In the ICL storm, the coach of the Bangladesh team suddenly announced that Shakib is his strike bowler along with New Zealand. In that match, Shakib took 6 wickets in the first innings. That was the beginning of Shakib's journey to become a superstar. In 2006, he won a difficult equation with Sri Lanka and took Bangladesh to the final of the tri-nation series. And probably the first discovery by a Bengali in January 2009, a cricketer from this country has risen to the top of the ODI all-rounder rankings! 'World's best all-rounder' is firmly associated with Shakib's name in local media.

Shakib was then a shining, hero who took the country to the top first to play for a respectable defeat with big teams! At the beginning of 2009, Shakib Al Hasan became the biggest star of domestic cricket. Earlier, Akram Khan's demand in the country's media was less as he took the Bangladesh cricket team to an international level. Akram Khan must be taken to the focus point in any talk show. However, his extraordinary batting in the ICC Cup in 1996 still floats in the eyes of Bengalis.
Our people still have a lot of interest in cricket. Our country loves cricket more than any other team.
