The world has now become a very little vacuum in this age of technology where information can travel from planet to planet in no time. But every good thing has a disadvantage or two, technology was a perfect suit for the world to revolve but what has it turned into?.

SCAMMING

Some years ago the habit of maneuvering people of their possessions like wealth,money or items was highly strict and prohibited by the law. But when technology and social media drove in the whole story changed from prohibition to skills.

Technology and social media has employed scamming as a skill in my space or region where I belong. using an interactive medium or a social media platform where you are not so sure of who is actually behind the device you are interacting with and their aim of interacting with you.

Unfortunately sometimes it may be very hard to identify scam or a scammer until you have already fallen a victim of his skill and by then, one or more of your wealth or possession had been long gone and not refundable. To me, the three main reasons for scamming is

1. Stealing personal informations
2. Money and
3. Money.
   Yes money is the biggest reason why a scammer can be so skillful.

Where to get scammed!

There is not a specific home where scamming lives because it is a daily activity around the globe and anyone can scam you overnight including your best friend. But some of my experiences on scamming were on the following mediums,

Social media

This happen to be the hive for scamming bees to perch on innocent or unskilled clients, deceiving them and maneuvering some tokens off their purse. We are now very familiar of people creating a new social media account due to previous one being hacked and compromised. These compromised accounts are then used to scam other unaware or unskilled clients to earn some of their profits or personal informations. ___

Fake Airdrop Tokens

Another amazing and tricky venue to get scammed is by participating on a fake Airdrop token where the pioneers are a bunch of python and c++ experts who can code on a fake Blockchain or node to send you fake and worthless tokens and after sometime request a fee or some of your wallet informations like passphrases in other to help you claim or activate the fake tokens which if you fall a victim of it, you end up loosing your wallet and every content in it.

Physics and mental skill

In the society today, yahoo yahoo(fraud) is now a job so if you are unemployed in my country, there is more than enough office for you to employ yourself and start working on monday!

Your friend, parents, neighbor or even spouse can just scam you one morning for reasons best known to them. But at least this time around you know the scammer and how to configure your own scamming revenge too if need be!.

This story was very funny and stupid at the same time but never to blame the poor Charles because he barely had any skill compared to that of the scammers so that was a big lesson for him. But I myself do not have a good occasion with a scammer. and even if I do, I am also as wise as a serpent.

How to prevent being scammed.

There is this old song by an African movie actor by name "osuofia" when he traveled to London and he said,

"419 e no be thief, it's just a game
Everybody de play am!
National airport na me get am...!"

Meaning, fraud is not stealing but it's just a game and everyone is in the game!.

They may be no absolute way to prevent scammers from your life other than being educatively wise and sound. Being able to understand some principles and how to tackle the dubious skills of a scammer.

Maybe God knew we were exposed to a world of scammers in our daily life so the bible tells us to

"be as wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove" Matthew 10:16
