AFRICAN VOODOO

African voodoo is a fetish art that involves divinity, spirituality, accustomed with spells and rituals. The whites call it "black magic" while it is commonly called "juju" by many Africans. Traditionally as it seems to be, it is surmounted with diabolic beliefs and activities that makes it deadly. It is performed on and by people who seek supreme and supernatural powers, with incantations and extreme rites that goes beyond the ordinary. It is ancestral and has passed down from one generation to the next generation since time immemorial.

Some Africans perform these rites in the quest to gain protection against physical and even spiritual attacks especially during wars (as it was with the forefathers of the African descent in times of civilian wars) while other Africans carry out these rites to gain powers to haunt their enemies or become ruthless in dealing with their fellow humans. It is commonly used by soothsayers and seers in African communities to foretell the future and predict future occurrences. That's to say African voodoo serves both a good and bad course.
This voodoo is actually real and works beyond human imagination. People who indulge in this art gain powers in different ramifications. Some have the powers to vanish in the course of danger perceived, some have the powers to resist physical attacks such as gunshots and knife cuts while others have in-depth powers that they believe that only a supreme being can harm them.

I have heard so many hilarious stories of Africans who were "lords" in the "voodoo world". Stories of men who could fly at night like bats in the air, disappear and appear at different places, receive gunshots without being injured, attack people spiritually and even kill people through such spiritual means. Some of these stories seemed so fictional but were actually true as Africans have really sought for these powers even to the depths of the earth.
Personally, I have come across many persons who have performed the African voodoo on themselves. Just recently in my community, a young man was shot twice in his chest but he survived the gunshots without a single scratch, courtesy of the voodoo. I have also been with a man who has the powers to perceive a poisoned drink just at the sight of the drink due to his high level of spirituality in relation to his voodoo acts.
The African voodoo is bound with principalities that are devilish and scary. And it is quite risky as it sometimes requires sacrifices such as taking the life of a family member on order to perform the rites.
