Hello beautiful people. How are you doing today? Hope you're doing amazing. It's another midweek and I say Happy Wednesday to everybody. Today I'll be talking about my experience with an online fraudster sometimes ago.
It was back in my 300 level in school when I simply received a phone call from a supposed Lacaser company. By the way I loved the lacasera drink so much at that time that I was always buying it for every food I eat to step down with.
I did this frequently until I received this call from one Mr Joseph. Its has always been this Mr Joseph ๐ All these scammers are always using the name "Mr Joseph" and I really wonder why they use the name for any online scam they want to do.
So Mr Joseph sent me a message that I won a particular amount of money I think 750,000 Naira as at then I think that was in 2013 and you know naira had value as a then and that was huge money.
I was so excited that I finally Lacasera company finally noticed me that I love drinking lacasera so much and so they have decided to reward me. ๐ Silly me!
And then I called the number that they put in the message for me to call, I introduced myself and said I got a message that I won a particular amount of money and then this man started asking some questions that were sounding very funny about my bank and all that.
I was very careful to answer these question though I gave him the right answers but they did not ask for any code or pin or anything like that. And then he asked me to send a particular amount of recharge card and that was when I got confused. ๐
I mean how will a company that wants to give me #750,000 asked me for recharge card and that was when it dawned on me and I remembered the story my sister told me about my grandma that was called like that and she sent about 5,000 Naira recharge card and got scammed of it.
Thankfully I remembered that incident and I just had to talk back to those people and insulted them because it was so embarrassing and I felt so disturbed because I was initially happy that I thought I really won #750,000 not knowing that they are scammers and I'm grateful I was not scammed. Yeah that was my experience as at then in 2013.
Please note there are so many ways people scam now especially when they ask for a code on your phone. Please make sure not to give them that code or when they ask you to recharge or send an amount of money, please don't answer them or when they even call you to say oh they mistakenly sent a recharge card to you and that they want you to call it for them, please do not try it because its a way for scammers to penetrate and even the scammers have now added diabolical charm and they are using it to destroy people's lives.
Please don't fall victim of it and I pray God bless us and help us in Jesus name.
Have a nice day. Cheers.
Hmm, I remember this lacasera scam back then, it was so popular. I know many people who got that kind of message too.
Secondly why they always use Joseph, this their scamming of a thing is scripted but their dump head won't tell them to change a thing. They use the same script for everyone even if it works or not.
As good as online and internet is all about that's how dangerous scamming individual has become and on the high side.
Exactly... these guys are so dumb that they always use.the same format even till date. May God save us from them. Thanks bro
Don't be surprise that some people still fall for that cheap scam.
