I intended to write about my weekend yesterday, but I was sidetracked by the American television series “The Flash.” Before I go into the series, let me tell you about how my day went yesterday.
As usual, I woke up at around 6am in the morning and it was a delightful one . My room receives a tremendous bit of natural light. I got out of bed, knelt, and said my silent prayers swiftly.
Mum had been awake since around 5 a.m, I moved to the mini kitchen and I found her making the day's breakfast. I forgot to mention that my mother is a Christian and my father is a Muslim, so I practice both religions, but I'm particularly attached to my mother, and I've been accompanying her to church since I was eight years old. My father does not live with us (family crises); he lives in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. While my mother and I stayed in a rented apartment in Lagos.
She was making local pap, and moi moi (bean pudding), I'm not a fan of it, so I opt for Bread, Egg and Tea instead, I have to prepare it myself. The ingredients wasn't much since it just for my own mouth.
The Ingredients
Two Eggs
Sliced Red Pepper
Sliced Tomatoes
Sliced Onions
Groundnut Oil and the seasoning.
Milk and Coffee for the Tea
In 5 minutes the fried egg was ready, took a clean mug and pour the Milk and Coffee, then mixed with cold pure water.
About the movie, The Flash, an American television series a young boy struck by lightning, went to coma and when he woke up he has a super power of speed. He create a team at star lab and together they fight villains known as Metahumans. Despite the fact that I'm still far behind, still in season 6 while the series is in season 7, and people are eagerly anticipating season 8, I'm still far behind. I believe the series has the greatest impact, which is why Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 89% rating and the audience gave it rave reviews.
For me, one of the most interesting parts of season 6 is episode 11 "Love Is a Battlefield," which takes place on Valentine's Day and features Barry (The Flash) and Iris (his wife) on a romantic date that is disrupted by one of their old enemies (Amunet), who has arrived to hijack a dangerous weapon, and Barry, being a detective, wants to arrest her but the lady threatens to reveal his identity to the world. Barry has no choice but to let her depart with the weapon in order to safeguard his identity.
Currently on episode 15, I'm hoping to find another episode that will surpass this one, however for the time being, 11 is the most intriguing episode for me.
Thank you for taking your time to read this.
