An easy two-ingredient homemade coconut milk recipe – a delicious dairy-free milk alternative made with fresh coconuts! You'll never go back to store-bought again!

This coconut milk is prepared using only two ingredients: coconut meat and water. Furthermore, it only takes 10 minutes to prepare (or slightly longer depending on the method you use to open the coconut and extract the meat). The end product is a naturally sweet, creamy, unsweetened coconut milk that is dairy-free, preservative-free, vegan, and contains no added sugar.

When purchasing store-bought coconut milk, it can rapidly become prohibitively expensive, and you may discover that your product contains a slew of needless 'extra' components. This homemade coconut milk is prepared from two main ingredients; Coconut and water. This can then be sweetened with vanilla or a variety of other delightful flavors for a sweeter finish. This homemade coconut milk is also highly cost-effective, and if you use it frequently, it may save you a lot of money! All you'll need is the flesh of an older coconut and some filtered water.

The Ingredients

  • Water

You will need a strong blender to blend the coconut meat and a clean white cloth to sieve the coconut from the shaft.


Step 1: Wash the coconut meat, and slice or chop into pieces for easy blending.


Step 2: Now gently put the coconut meats inside the blender, and add water. Make sure you are careful with the quantity of water you are adding, then blend until it's well grate.


Step 3: Turn off the blender, transfer the coconut paste inside a big bowl.


Step 4: Sieve with the clean white cloth, remove the shaft then sieve again to react more coconut milk, sieve it again and make sure it's free from shafts.


Finally the coconut milk is ready, pour the coconut milk inside a clean glass cup and refrigerate or you can consume without refrigerating
