Liverpool's path to the championship ladder is quite difficult because they were held to a 0-0 draw by Chelsea until extra time.
As a result, the Reds' victory could only be achieved after a penalty kick clash with Thomas Tuchel's troops.
In the 12 match agility competition, Liverpool managed to score 11 balls, while Chelsea could only score 10 goals.
Chelsea's 11th executioner Kepa Arrizabalaga's high shot ensured the Reds had an 11-10 lead over the Blues.
For Liverpool, this is their ninth English League Cup title, passing Manchester City (8 trophies).
The achievement of nine trophies also made Liverpool the most accomplished club in the history of the English League Cup.
