Instablurt: Matti's First Birthday

Matti's first birthday didn't turn out the same way as I imagined. I planned it to be celebrated in Bohol but then I got positive with COVID and it was required that we present a negative RT PCR test at the port when traveling back to Bohol.

So we have no choice but to celebrate it in Oslob and have a pictorial while being on quarantine.

It was a very simple kind of pictorial, I had bought a pair of pants for him when we were in Cebu City. Then I also got him a stuffed toy. The theme was inspired by Pinterest. I got some brown paper bags and cut them into triangles and then used them as banners here for the pictorial. There's a creamy curtain at one spot in the house so I used that as a backdrop. As for the flooring, it was the thing that I dislike the most. My husband bought this in a store in town and it was not the flat so it is obvious in the photo that this isn't a real floor.

As for the cake, I ordered this from my brother-in-law's friend and we also rented the tree bark stand. It added beauty to this simple pictorial. The number 1 with lights was borrowed.

Thankfully, we were able to pull it off and after Matti's birthday, we realized it doesn't really matter if there's a huge celebration or a small one. In fact, we aim now that we won't be spending much on food, we can spend it in travels and making memories instead.
