Pesanggrahan Flood, 3 May 2023

I promise that the downpour continuously for more than 2 hours has turned the area along the Pesanggrahan river into a flood. This incident occurred today, Wednesday 3 May 2023 at around 17.30 West Indonesia time. Along the Pesanggrahan river, which is in my area, it experienced quite high floods, the water here reached approximately 90 cm and an adult cake. Many houses in my area were submerged in floods. Here is a video that I uploaded about the flood event that occurred this afternoon.

The overflowing Pesanggrahan river water and residents' housing have also cut off transportation routes because neither cars nor motorbikes can pass through. If they are forced to pass, be prepared for the vehicle to die. This situation makes people who will pass finally turn around to find another way that can be passed.

The Pesanggrahan flood is not only caused by heavy rains but also because the riverbed is already shallow and the condition of the river is narrowing due to the large number of houses around the riverbanks so that the river becomes narrower. In addition, a lot of garbage that has accumulated is also the main cause of flooding today.

Until this post, I share that the floods have not receded, it even seems that the rain has not subsided, so it is feared that the river water will overflow. The families living on the banks of the river have already been evacuated to safer neighbors' houses because their houses are known for evaporating river water.
