This week's climb was extraordinary, Mount Butik is not too high at only 1,250 MDPL but the climbing track is quite challenging. After placing the motorbike in the parking space provided, we went straight to the climbing registration place by paying $1.4 and getting instructions on the climbing rules.
The start of the climb is still on a sloping track with a view of the rice fields. However, after traveling for about 15 minutes, we were immediately presented with a track that continued to climb with rocky ground contours between bushes. This is a quite tiring climb because the climbing track continues to climb. On this track we still get several sources of clean water directly from springs, so this water can be used by climbers who experience a lack of drinking water.
Finally we arrived at post 4 Bukit Kolecer. Kolecer Hill is a quite wide hill. Usually climbers set up tents here. But because we didn't spend the night, we finally continued our journey after taking some photos at Kolecer Hill.
After passing Kolecer Hill we arrived at a quite steep climbing track by climbing steps made of wood and holding on to webbing ropes. This is the most challenging climb on Mount Butik. Before reaching the top we have to continue walking uphill, climbing quite long stairs on either side of the ravine.
Finally we reached the top and joined several other climbers who had been here earlier.
