It cannot be denied that with the development of information technology and science, without realizing it, some traditional children's games are increasingly being eroded by the times. Traditional games have been defeated by advances in technology or other types of games such as online games, gadgets and so on. In fact, in traditional children's games we find more positive sides than negative sides.
The photo above is a type of traditional children's game, namely Engkle. MP is a type of traditional children's game in West Java, Indonesia. In the learning activities, I and the children tried this type of traditional game again in the hope that the children would still be able to preserve this type of game.
Before the activity had started, the children drew the ankle playing field. There are several plots that must be traversed by jumping with one foot over the existing plots. This play tool consists of stones which are thrown into the available plots and the plots where the stones are located must not be stepped on.
The children enthusiastically took turns playing with their ankles. Hopefully other types of traditional games will remain sustainable without reducing children's enthusiasm for using technology that continues to develop
