Visiting Simala Shrine (Church Castle) of Sibonga, Cebu

in instablurt •  2 years ago

Few weeks ago my wife and I went to Simala Shrine or famously known as Church Castle located in Sibonga, Cebu. We visited the shrine to have a candle lighting and offer a thanksgiving prayer as well. It was weekend by the time we visit the shrine and we expected that the shrine will be crowded of devotees. And turns out our expectation is right as we arrived. Let me share some photos I took at the shrine.

First off we head on to the chapel of the church wherein the image of Virgin Mary was stood. As well as devotees who kneel and offers prayer.

Outside the chapel is the candle lighting area, at the same time the stall that sells souvenir that were personally made by the pious people of the church and these includes rosary, rosary bracelets, keychains, and a lot more.
