Hello there Blurt fam, hope everyone is safe wherever you are on the globe. For this content, I just want to share our coffee date with my wife at the Kioskofi of Dalaguete, Cebu. The coffee shop was established early last year in the midst of the pandemic, it is said that it is the newest hangout in town and serves the finest coffee with the beautiful scenery facing the baywalk of Dalaguete. And so, we both decided to try it out.
The most exciting part is that the building the Kioskofi is using is actually a watchtower that was built in the year 1768. It was built as the town's first line of defense from raids of sea pirates.
Later on, a second floor was built on the watchtower, which was then called "Kiosko" where probably Kioskofi word was dubbed. Today the tower was beautifully transformed into a coffee shop which they named Kioskofi with the tagline Dalaguete's Finest Coffee. That serves a variety of refreshing drinks like ice coffee, and smoothies down to creamy frappes. They also serve mouthwatering pastries like cakes and desserts.
Aside from the historic structure, the ambiance of the place was really good probably because of its location fronting the ocean which you can really feel the fresh air as well. And so with the lightings installed surrounding the coffee shop which I think makes it stand out among other stores around.
And of course, we had some of their flavorful coffee and some snaps together afterward.
