Debiganj Upazila is located in the southeastern part of Panchagarh, the northernmost district of Bangladesh. Debiganj is an upazila in Panchagarh district in the Rangpur division.
There are many places of interest in this Debiganj upazila. One of the notable and important things to see is the bridge of Debiganj upazila. This bridge in Debiganj is known as "4th China-Bangladesh Friendship Bridge".
When the construction of the 4th China-Bangladesh Friendship Bridge started, we were very young then. As far as I remember, I used to study in primary school then. Before the construction of this bridge, if any person wanted to go from village to town, he could do it by boat. There was a lot of suffering. There was no way to rush to the upazila clinic if someone suddenly fell ill. The people of the village had to face many difficulties in their life.
Then the long wait came to an end. Eventually this bridge was built. Many people used to come from far and wide to see this "4th China-Bangladesh Friendship Bridge". Especially at any of our religious festivals, people gather on this bridge. Because the river Karatoya flows through the bottom of the bridge.
Yesterday I went to work in my office in this Debiganj upazila. And so I captured some pictures of this wonderful bridge. I will share them with you now.
